Never mind the fearful voices echoing in the head; the land still speaks to your heart. It's telling how to live a good life. Where are the ears to hear that sacred voice? The Huichol people have not forgotten. Join us for a Friday evening talk with Eliot Cowan who will talk about The Sacred Landscape and The Ears of the Heart.
$20. To register, visit http://enlightensociety.org.
Eliot Cowan is the author of Plant Spirit Medicine, and a senior shaman and trainer of shamanic apprentices in the Huichol tradition. In the early 1980's, Eliot was encouraged by Dr. Worsley to seek the guidance of the plants themselves to support the healing of his clients. Eliot named this traditionally shamanic practice Plant Spirit Medicine℠. Engaging in this work led Eliot on a profound path that resulted in his undertaking shamanic apprenticeship with the late Don Guadalupe Gonzalez Rios, an eminent Huichol Indian Shaman. In 2002, Don Guadalupe ritually recognized Eliot as a leader of shamanic apprentices in the Huichol tradition.
