Sustainable Practices program at CU-Boulder offers non-credit training in sustainability for working adults. This class will focus on sustainable acquisition of goods and services. The first part of the class will be presentations by two private sector companies Staples and Dell Computers. Each company will discuss the process of greening their supply chain. The second part of the class will focus on sustainable purchasing practices in the public sector using the University of Colorado as a case study. We will discuss how CU achieves compliance with national university sustainability requirements (STARS) without the benefit of any mandates. There will also be a discussion of the resources available to help companies, both large and small, identify methodologies to help them Green their Supply Chains. Cost $265. Pre-registration required online.
