Colorado Transition Network

IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENTS ON COLORADO TRANSITION NETWORK

Are you coming in from out of town to attend the Transition Training Workshop on Sept 13-14? Why stay at a hotel chain headquartered somewhere outside Boulder and probably outside Colorado when we can "buy local" -- really local! Use this discussion to record your Offers and your Needs.

Teresa Foster, Transition Longmont, writes: “I have a bedroom and private bath in my basement if someone is in need - of course I live in Longmont but they could ride in with me.” (Longmont is about 15 mins. north of Boulder.)
Todd Siegel (Transition Boulder) offers “an air mattress and a long couch” at his home (with cats) in Boulder.
Nighthawk Circle Louisville (6 miles from Boulder). Les Squires and Kaelin Kelly offer a queen-size bed and futon (in the same room), with private bath. Great for families. Futon could be moved to separate room. Transportation to and from Boulder can be provided. (We once hosted a 45-person international conference in our home. Want to pitch a tent in the backyard?)
I have a lovely garden level basement room with private bath available for the Transition Training. Please let me know if you are interested.

We could carpool to/from Boulder

Thanks,

Teresa
Dawn Howard from Denver is interested in taking you up on your offer, but she wants to know if you have pets (as she is very allergic). You can call her directly, 303-641-4176, or call me at 303-335-6589. Thanks!
Had a cat (but he disappeared last week) so there is cat hair throughout my home - sorry Dawn.
A new registrant just called, Zack Mermel, who's in Colorado this week from Hawaii, doing Permaculture work at Jerome Osentowski's site in Basalt. He just found out about the Transition Training and felt that he must attend.

He's looking for lodging. He can be reached at zam2@humboldt.edu or 808-987-1816.
Evi Klett (Denver) says, "I'm looking into staying in Boulder with a few friends but have not heard back yet. I may be interested in Todd's offer if no one else needs it. If they do by all means hook them up :)"

Evi can be reached at wildgrass@ecoisp.com.
Anyone have a fenced-in backyard that my dog Harvest can play in during the training? He's great with other dogs and respectful of flowers, no digging, etc. Let me know, Kenzie sacreddynamics at gmail . com
