Hello Skypers.  I've just added a DAILY SCAN FOR MENTIONS OF SKYPE ON THE NET to this group -- for those of you who like to keep up with everything without having to do anything.  The list is updated several times a day.  Enjoy.

Have any of you had problems with loading skype? For the past 2 weeks my skype says it is "signing in" but then it says "Skype has stopped working" and blocks entry to the application. I'm having to solve this as my own problem, but if others are experiencing similar behavior, let's solve it together.

Tip. Think of the NAME of your skype Contact as a notepad -- not just the person's name. I use it to record "friendly" info like spouses names, Member Association, who recommended them to me, name of their company, and anything else that helps me remember and be thoughtful. Max. about 120 characters in this field.

G'Day... Here's a tip for those days when skype seems hyperactive and you want some undisturbed time. Type /alertsoff in the message box -- with /alertsoff your messages queue so you can catch up later, but no noisy beeps or alerts. Be sure to /altertson when you want to catch up.

BTW, /help gives you about two dozen similar "command line" commands. Have fun!
