Just a quick note that we have rescheduled the Longmont kick-off meeting for 5/1 at 2PM at Thompson park. Please see the calendar for more information and I hope to see folks there.

Welcome Faith. I hope we have good weather for the meeting and please feel free to contact me with any questions/comments about TL or Longmont in general. Just curious what part of Longmont are you in? We are  just North of Old town and W of Main st.

Hi Everyone!

My husband and I moved to Longmont about a year ago and I would love to learn more about what's happening here and become more a part of the community.

With great sadness, I am reporting that another local business is closing. Buzz coffee at 11th and Francis as a sign saying this Sunday is there last day. I have yet to find out why, but with all the sbux in town, it must be hard to survive.

Just a quick note that as of Jan 4th, residents in the city limits of Longmont will be able to have up to 4 hens! This is a great step toward Transitioning Longmont

Another quick push getting any transition folks, chicken lovers, urb/suburban ag folks to come out and remind some certain politicos that they work for us and have no opinion on whether we should have chickens or not.  We need lots of support for this tomorrow.

2nd Reading of Ordinance for Backyard Chickens
Good Morning,
The 2nd reading and public hearing of the backyard chicken hen ordinance is scheduled for Tuesday, January 11th, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 350 Kimbark Street.   If this is something that you have an interest in, you are encouraged to attend.
Thank you and have a good day.

Java Stop at 3rd and Main, on the north west corner of the intersection is a good coffee shop. I should also mention 723 North Main, just north of Longs Peak. The owner bought the building for the use of Longmont progressives. I believe that t town qualifies. It is not a coffee shop, but it is a good spot to show movies and have meetings. Stop in  and visit. If there is nobody home, check out the front window. Between 10am and 2pm fi the best time, but sometimes the building is locked.

uscolm = U.S. Colorado Longmont - is a tag to make sure that events, discussions, etc. ended up on the Transition Longmont page (a filing mechanism of sorts). For more info, speak with Les Squires.
