Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
By teaching permaculture courses, harvesting rainwater, growing food, planting food-bearing trees, saving seed, consulting, studying food, pollen, culture, and water-sheds.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
Heart and Hands! People working together to create the future they want inspires me. The Transition concept brings all my work together to develop a positive way forward into a challenging, but rewarding future. It starts now!
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
Experienced Permaculture instructor, BA in Sustainable Design, rainwater harvesting, seed saving, forest garden design, sustainable agriculture, foraging, ecopsychology and zen practice.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement?
Educating through workshops and Permaculture Design Courses, building permaculture gardens, and consulting to spread permaculture design across the region. When people see the functionality of working permaculture demonstrations it clicks. We need more on the ground, under the sun work in this area.

Jason are you available for design work for my property of two acres in Elizabeth?  Or do you have a recommendation for someone in the area?

Thank you.

Howdy Jason!  I'm interested in your rainwater class mid-April, and am having difficulty finding where to sign up?  I'm sure it's just an oversight on my part, but could you give me some direction as to what is needed to count m'self into this event?

Hi Jason,

This is Maggie and Jessica from Sandy Cruz PDC09 class.  Jessica took your rainwater harvesting class, also.  Lynne Dugay, Jessica, Becky Elder and I are looking to put together a rainwater harvesting class here on my Denver Institute of Permaculture,Inc. (DIPI) site.  Wanted to know if you'd be interested in working with us?  Maggie Rice

Hi Jason,

My bad. I didn't see that registration was required.

Hopefully you'll do it again sometime and I'll be able to attend.

Hi Jason, I saw that you installed greywater systems in Arizona. I am interested in installing one in my home (Southeast Denver area). Would you be interested in giving me a quote for that? Thanks!!!

On it. I have a colleague at work interested in a permaculture class and checking out the scene in general, can I pass along your contact info?

Jason,
I'm doing a seed exchange even in my neighborhood and I plugged Abbo-Regional seeds. Will you guys be selling seeds through your online seed catalog this year, too? The PDF I downloaded off the Abbo site says "2008". Is the info still good for 2009?

Greetings Jason,

Excited to see another Nederlander on the Transition site. I have met Sarah and Conor Merrigan in regards to the NSP. Conor mentioned there was a recent retreat to discuss the direction of the NSP. I would love to hear about the intention for the year and learn about ways to become more involved with action in the mountains.
Please feel free to give me a call or drop an email. Cheers,

Ben Griffin
