Jennifer Reed replied to James's discussion Chickens in Denver in the group Transition Denver
"Hello! I also live in Lakewood, and we just moved into a "Planned Development" neighborhood. Not R-1, not even R-2. We still have a wonderful large flat yard, however, and would love to be able to keep 4 or 5 chickens. Do we have any hope?"

Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I am not currently involved, but would like to learn more!
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I am interested because I want to learn to garden and live more self-sustainably within the city. Found this website while looking for information on having chickens in Lakewood!
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
Photography degree, photo business (currently dormant, as I grow some little kiddos). Have an interest in sustainability and a desire to learn.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement?
By learning for myself how to live more sustainably and telling others about it! Helping others, learning from others and being part of creating a community of networked people where I live!
