Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I haven't been involved. I am a CRES member for the past several years, a JUC Green member - and how I learned of the group.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I am a Geologist familiar with Peak Oil, Resource and climate issues. I see the need for developing CSP/PV solar and geothermal as alternative resource for our communities. I also see the need to conserve resources and think local to do that. We will need to make lifestyle changes and transition to alternate forms of energy.
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
Geologist with a research background in paleoclimate, a working background with oil and gas companies (major and minor: Amoco, Arco and smaller), a leader of the Denver Climate study group (www.denverclimatestudygroup.com) - a big-picture kind of professional.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement?
talks/outreach/get to know the group better, etc.
