Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
moving towards sustainable permaculture principles in my suburban home. I'm proud to be a member of the Applewood Permaculture Institute Gardening Team with David Braden and others, and studying beekeeping under Don Studinski.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
sustainability, respect for water and the earth, sacred economics, building community, stopping the relentless destruction of the commons
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
not sure ...
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement?
I only just *heard* of the phrase Transition movement this morning, browsing on Colorado urban permaculture. I'm working on creating a Time Bank in my neighborhood.

Hi Ruth,

Feel free to start what you want to start. There are many aspects to Transition.

I am focused upon totally cutting off my fossil fuel usage - I am well past "Net Zero" already. In the process I am working 14 hours a day on converting my home to be free of Natural Gas. So, at this point, I am not going to start a new focus.

Thanks for your interest,

Steve

Hi Ruth,

Thank your for your inquiry. Admittedly I am unfamiliar with Time Banks and could be somewhat interested to learn more. However, I will be in Santa Fe one of those weekends for a bit of spiritual recharging :)
