How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
Developing an organic baking product line from Colorado grown, milled and produced flours.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I believe cellular economies, especially in regards to food ,are the best configuration for our growing population/food needs The current financial, production, and food sourcing infrastructure is not adequate to provide us a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible future.
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
Teacher of English to speakers of other languages - exposure to other cultures' food traditions, lifetime foodie, gardener, creative entrepreneur.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement?
Create products that consciously serve people's needs from local and organic sources. In particular, make local organic wheat flours easier and more convenient to find and use. Direct people to educational websites through the website on our packaging.
