LED Lighting for Starting Plants...

I like to start some of my vegetable garden plants from seeds, but I've always had to place them under fluorescent lights because of the shorter days, and the possibility that the seeds will sprout just when we enter a cloudy period. My experience is that the plants need ample lighting when they first sprout because the stems will grow long and thin in search of better light, and be unable to support proper leaf development later.

Exploring the Interweaving of Art and Science

EventGallery 910Arts kicked off the First Friday of 2012 with an exhibition titled 'Two Kinds of Truth:  Exploring the Interweaving of Art and Science'.   The exhibition showcases the work of students from kindergarten through high school, demonstrating the integration of art and science in the Waldorf curriculum.

We had over 1000 people through the gallery for the First Friday of the new year!
