A brief reminder that, just a few years ago, there was talk about Boulder becoming a municipal power provider - like not-so-radical Longmont and Colorado Springs - instead of renewing the Xcel franchise (which expires Aug. 2010).

Reason for Rising Gas Prices

Here's an article on why gas prices are rising despite soft demand and a glut of supply. I'm wondering what you all think of the very last paragraph - an IEA prediction that oil will be $130 a barrel in 2030 and that by then, the price of oil will follow the supply/demand model.

Garden Fungi

Jim, we noticed a yellow glue-like sponge looking fungus growing in one of our permaculture beds and Zia of Willow Way suggested we contact you to find out what it might be.



It is bright bright yellow and only growing on top of the straw on the layered bed.It turned brown (liked milk chocolate color) and became hard, but this was after 12 hours and some rain and no sun.
